Paddlesports Retailer is the official tradeshow of the industry!
It began in 2017 with a very simple concept - create a high-quality tradeshow for paddlers, by paddlers - held at a time of year when retailers and outfitters can actually attend and in a location that is affordable and accessible to most of the country. After the inaugural year in Madison, Wisconsin, PSR found a new home in Oklahoma City.
SEE ALL THE BRANDS IN ONE PLACE — Paddlesports Retailer is the only place where you can see a curated mix of brands that specifically serve paddlesports retailers. In 2018 more than 140 exhibitors brought over 450+ brands to the show, and the numbers expand each year as more relevant products are introduced and incorporated. New for 2019: more brands representing fishing accessories, water footwear, technical apparel and camping gear.
TRY BEFORE YOU BUY — Demo Day is central for buyers to be effective. Held at the state-of-the-art Riversports OKC Adventure Park, Demo Day offers the perfect opportunity to test products on both whitewater and flatwater in the same setting. Beginning midday and running under the lights, Demo day is capped off with an industry party. Live entertainment, food trucks and nighttime paddling bring friends and colleagues together for an unrivaled celebration.
HAVE FUN WITH FRIENDS — Work hard, play hard. We will celebrate the unique culture of paddlesports with networking events and industry parties. But we'll also come together to discuss the most important topic facing our industry - getting more people on the water.
NATIONAL / INTERNATIONAL REACH — We are not a regional show. The largest paddlesports brands in the world have endorsed Paddlesports Retailer as the official national show of the industry. We chose Oklahoma City because of the convenience of access for most of the country. In 2018 more than 10% of retailers were international attendees.
TIMING THAT WORKS FOR EVERYONE - It is obvious that paddlesports retailers cannot leave their stores mid-season, nor can they afford for manufacturers to introduce new product in June, making their entire inventory obsolete. On the other hand, many paddlesports manufacturers have order deadlines in September necessary to maintain their supply chain. And our show is intentionally during the work week so retailers can return to their stores before the busy weekend. After surveying hundreds of retailers and exhibitors, the PSR team determined that mid-September was the clear choice for show dates.
CURATED EXHIBITOR MIX - The exhibitor mix will be curated to provide the very most efficiency and relevance to our retailers. Our exhibitors will be limited to brands that serve paddlers - specifically paddle / watersports hardgoods, softgoods, and accessories, but also complimentary categories including high-quality footwear, optics, hydration, travel / racks, camping, and technical apparel.

Paddlesports Retailer Industry Advisory Council
The paddlesports industry has created an advisory board to be an ongoing voice on industry and tradeshow matters. Bill Kueper from Wenonah has been appointed the coalition's chairman. He is joined by Sue Rechner, David Blue from NRS, Jeff Turner from Kokatat, Stig Larsson from Level Six, and Ed Vater from Branches. The group will collaborate with show organizers, Sutton Bacon and Darren Bush, to deliver the very best show experience for retailers and exhibitors.
